A WinSCP alternative that keeps the shell open
WinSCP is the default Windows SFTP client for a reason. Klyrn is for people who also live in SSH: dual-pane Files in the same window as the terminal, same hosts, same vault.
| Klyrn | WinSCP | |
|---|---|---|
| Dual-pane SFTP | This PC ↔ remote | Core product |
| SSH terminal | First-class VT | Usually paired with PuTTY |
| Tunnels | Built in | Not the main workflow |
| Scripting / commander depth | Focused UI | Very deep |
Keep WinSCP for heavy scripting. Use Klyrn when the job is “open the box, edit the file, stay in tmux.” Details on the SFTP client for Windows page.
Can Klyrn replace WinSCP for everyday file copies?
For local ↔ remote copies next to an SSH session, yes. WinSCP still has more specialized transfer and scripting depth. Klyrn optimizes for not leaving the terminal.
Is Files a separate download?
No. Dual-pane SFTP is in the same Klyrn 1.0 Windows installer as SSH.
